On November 19th, 2022 the Pharr Housing Authority held a Thanksgiving Celebration for all of our residents. PHA Staff and Residents joined together to give thanks and celebrate the many blessings we have received this year. The prayer was offered by Rev Jose Losoya from Saint Jude’s Church in Pharr and a Full Thanksgiving meal was enjoyed by all.

Pharr Housing Authority Project Read 4th Annual Scholarship Banquet.
The Pharr Housing Authority along with The City of Pharr and Pharr San Juan Alamo ISD recently held their 4th Annual Read Project Scholarship Banquet. On June 24, 2022 at the Jose “Pepe” Salinas Memorial Recreation Center, PHA awarded scholarships to 48 deserving students that are residents of the Pharr Housing Authority. Donations made by the City of Pharr and PSJA ISD totaling $72,327 were used to fund these scholarships and are intended to help further these students post high school academic careers. We would like to thank The City of Pharr and PSJA ISD for their assistance and generosity

PHA Halloween!
On Friday October 29th 2021, The Pharr Housing Authority hosted its Annual Resident Halloween Candy Giveaway. Little Ghosts and Goblins from all over the area joined our staff for a howling good time. The PHA Staff joined in on the fun by dressing up in their own costumes while giving out candy to our residents.

On July 16, 2021 at the Jose “Pepe” Salinas Memorial Recreation Center, PHA awarded scholarships to 45 deserving students that are residents of the Pharr Housing Authority. Donations made by the City of Pharr and PSJA ISD totaling $74,247.80 were used to fund these scholarships and are intended to help further these students post high school academic careers. We would like to thank The City of Pharr and PSJA ISD for their assistance and generosity.
4th Annual Halloween Boo-Bash
Pharr Housing Residents, its that time of the year! Halloween is upon us and the Pharr Housing Authority is having their 4th Annual Halloween Boo-Bash. This year’s theme will be “Wizard of Oz”. Due to Covid-19 concerns, it will not be held in the PHA building. Instead it will be a “Curbside” event in the lot next to and behind PHA. The entrance will be east of the building on Polk Avenue. Signs will direct you to the entrance. Candy along with Fun and Excitement will be provided to all the youths of Public Housing and Section 8 residents.
Please note that the PHA Halloween Flyer received by residents must be presented in order to enter the “Emerald City”. Please wear your facemasks and remain in your vehicles at all times.
