Pharr Affordable Development Corporation sponsored 3 residents: 1 Section 8 resident: Jocelyn Cardenas age 16, 2 Public Housing residents: Ashely Chavez age 15 and Griesy Rodriguez age 18 on March 29, 2019 to compete in 2019 Miss Pageant Pharr HUB Phestival. It was a learning curve because not knowing what to expect, since it was their first time competing in a Pageant against different age groups and experienced Pageant winners made it challenging, but with commitment and dedication anything is possible. We are proud to recognized Ms. Jocelyn Cardenas who placed 1st runner up at the 2019 Miss Pageant Pharr HUB Phestival. The Pharr Housing Authority is grateful for your generous gift supporting our students. It is because of generous business like yours that our students can benefit participating in programs that develop poise and grace under pressure, improve public speaking and interviewing skills.
